El Paso, what is a property tax protest?

Did you receive your latest property taxes from EPCAD already? Did you open it?

If so, you noticed your amount for the property taxes. There are a couple of forms in that envelope you should be paying attention to. As a home owner, if you feel that your property taxes are too high and would like to talk to a EPCAD appraiser to “challenge” that value, fill out your ‘Protest form’. This quick video will help answer some questions about the process.
